Pastizz is a traditional savoury pastry from Malta. Pastizzi usually have a filling either of ricotta or mushy peas, and are called pastizzi tal-irkotta (cheesecake), or pastizzi tal-piżelli (pea cake). Pastizzi are a popular, traditional and well-known Maltese food.
